Or are you interested but maybe just a little leery about bulking up? Well you are not alone, many women have felt and feel the same way. To respond to these needs, Cynthia (Cindy) J. Treaster developed the Real Women Lift program. With guidance from a certified trainer you will learn how to Do certain exercises and the importance of technique the 3 W's: Why, What and When. Why do certain exercises ( depending on your goals ),and the importance of technique. What weights to lift and how much. When to do each exercise. After consulting with our trainers you will be well prepared to enjoy the benefits of safe weight training. Not convinced? Then read the following important information on the benefits of weight training: Why should every woman no matter her age incorporate resistance (weight) training in her program? Research has shown that beginning as early as her mid-thirties, women lose approximately 1/3 pound of muscle every year, which is subsequently replaced with fat. In the ten-year period between the ages 40-50, the typical woman will lose 3-5 pounds of muscle and gain 13-15 pounds of fat. The key role that strength training can play in reversing this undesirable development can't be underestimated. Microfit Fitness Evaluations
Anastasia Athletic Club offers state-of-the-art fitness evaluations. Our certified staff will determine your personal fitness level through computerized testing of blood pressure, heart rate, body composition, strength, flexibility, and aerobic capacity. Our staff will thoroughly explain your results and guide you toward an exercise program specific towards your needs. The cost for this service is $25 to all members and is recommended that you get a re-evaluation every 12 weeks.
It's a fitness journey where you're guided every step of the way. It includes a customized and totally new workout sheet each time you visit Anastasia Athletic Club PLUS your very own ActivTrax Coach (i.e. a club staff person) to watch over you as you progress. While the workouts activate your entire body, your Coach stands by to support you as you need it along the way.
The program starts with an evaluation. You meet with an ActivTrax Coach and they measure, test strength and orient you on how to read and use the workouts. Then your evaluation results are analyzed and your first workout is formulated and is waiting for you on your next visit to the club.

There are over 40 pieces of equipment located in two separate cardio rooms (one with cardio theater.) You will find treadmills, stairmasters, rowers, freerunners, elipticals, bikes and more.
Whether you're a beginning exerciser or a pro, AAC has something for everyone. Our pin loaded machines consist of Cybex , Nautilus and Ground Zero. While you will find our separate free weight room to have everything a fitness enthusiast could want. Our professional staff is available for orientations to make sure you have a safe and effective workout.
